The New Year always begins with a fresh start! 

Babies of all types are born, the rain brings new life to the various tree species, fledglings are leaving their nests, pupae become beautiful butterflies, the bush flushes and comes alive.

One never knows what is going to be around the next corner on the horse trails or game drives. Our dams are once again full to the brim and the warthogs are rolling in the mud with their new babies, taking a break from the African sun. This also means exciting dam swims to give the horses and ourselves a fun break during the heat.

Even though this year started with a bang with the heavens opening on our little town of Hoedspruit causing plenty of rain to fall, we are getting back into the swing of things and each of us are very excited for what 2012 has to offer.
